Rahman could have wished for nothing else than this big day. Awards have always been his piece of cake. Making it overwhelmingly BIG at the Oscar and with not one but two academy awards for himself for Best Original Song and Best Original Score is a huge Apple-Pie . A total of 8 Oscars of the 10 nominations in different categories is indeed an accomplishment for Slumdog Millionaire. Global honor marked by the Red Carpet grandeur at the 81st Annual Academy Awards, for the entire star cast of Slumdog Millionaire is much more than a cherished dream. It was Jai Ho all around at Oscar this time!

Rahman won 1 oscar along with Gulzar. Resul Pookutty also bagged 1 for sound mixing. Why nobody is talking about them?
