Be Thankful

Recession is a BIG name! Cannot see any day going without the slightest mention of this term. Need not be spoken but yet it haunts subconsciously. Don’t know when this name is gonna smite anyone at random to leave the person gazing onto the blue sky blank!

A dreadful stage in life where every human feels the pinch. Unlike a situation when its news of earthquake or flood hitting a mass of people at some corner of the globe.

The other day, I was deleting the junk off my mail box when I came across this message. The message was sent on my birthday some years back, so I say a warm blessing. It was specifically mentioned that this is to be remembered on this Birthday and many many years to come. Frankly, I paid little heed to depth of words even though I claimed understanding it.

As humans we are prone to the slightest event affecting the society. Recession can easily swing our mind as the popular ruling thought. I do allow my mind to assimilate all ‘wandering thoughts’ and then when I feel saturated, the very next moment I let go. So time in silence and deep breathing exercises and I feel at peace all within. The Art of Living basic course a year back had been a right decision at the time I say. Meditation and faith in God and of course an asset called confidence keeps me in high spirits despite all odds I come across.

Once the random flashback was over, I read it once. Took a deep breath. Read it once more. Wait a minute! How appropriate was the ones marked in red. How very appropriate it seemed today. I now realize that how much I have grown over the years. A feel of pride set in. What would have seemed a dreadful thing a couple of years back, well, given the same situation, I resort to meditation, prayers and positive reading and of course a big smile. Come what may!

Wish to share this message with one and all going through difficult times! Perhaps this would make you feel light and help you fight the recession with a bold undeterred SMILE.

Be Thankful

Be thankful that you don't have everything you desire.

If you had, what would be there to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something,

for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.

During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations,

because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge

because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes.

They will teach you valuable lessons.

It's easy to be thankful for the good things.

A life of rich fulfillment comes to those

who are also thankful for the setbacks.

Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.

Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,

and they can become your blessings.

Perhaps this would make you feel light and help you fight the recession with a bold undeterred SMILE.
